Message from the Division Director
The Division of Clinical Immunology in the Department of Medicine is committed to all three aspects of the academic mission of our department and institution – research and scholarship, education and patient care. All faculty members are engaged in various aspects of the tripartate academic mission. The division addresses the entire spectrum of clinical immunology and is composed of 2 sections – Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology; and Rheumatology. Collectively, we are fully committed to caring for patients with these categories of illness, teaching various learners about the immune principles and clinical spectrum seen in patients and pursuing scholarship and discovery related to better understanding of and treatments for immune-based diseases.
MORE"I am humbled by the tremendous need for rheumatologists in Mississippi and nearby states. Some of our goals are to expand our division and to inspire many trainees to become rheumatologists so that more patients can have access to appropriate care."
– Cathy Lee Ching, MD
Rheumatology Faculty
"I am truly thankful for having the opportunity to work with such wonderful people in the Division of Clinical Immunology. The privilege of contributing to our trainees' education is particularly fulfilling. I deeply value the opportunity to serve the people of Mississippi while also giving back to the institution I myself trained."
